Finding Glenalmond

Glenalmond is located only an hour by road from the international airports of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Centrally located in Scotland, the College is easily accessed from all directions.

Directions for drivers

From Edinburgh
From Edinburgh airport follow the signs for the Forth Road Bridge. The directions from any other areas of Edinburgh are the same. Cross the Forth Road Bridge (toll currently £1.00, northbound only) and follow the M90 towards Perth (about 40 minutes drive). On approaching Perth, take the left hand slip road marked A9 Glasgow, Stirling, Inverness. Keep bearing to the left on dual carriageway until you reach Broxden roundabout on the outskirts of Perth. ## Go straight on following the signs to A9 Inverness and shortly afterwards take the first sliproad off to the left, signposted A85 Crieff. At the mini roundabout turn left and stay on the A85 until you almost reach the village of Methven **. Turn right immediately before the village (at the "30mph in 100 metres" sign) The turn is signed to Glenalmond. Follow this road for approximately 4 miles until you reach a T-junction signposted Glenalmond to the left. Turn left and continue on this road until a signpost marked Glenalmond College. Take the entrance marked Front Avenue and proceed to the Reception Office.

From Glasgow
Take the M8 from Glasgow following signs towards Edinburgh and then Stirling and Perth. On the outskirts of Glasgow the M8 passes a large gasometer, shortly after this bear left onto the M80 Stirling, Perth. After approximately 50 minutes you will be approaching Perth, look out for a sign on the left to Tibbermore. Take this left hand turn, follow the road, across a crossroads, until you reach a T-junction with the A85. Turn left and follow the instructions above as from **. If you miss the turning to Tibbermore, you will arrive at the Broxden roundabout, in which case follow the instructions above as from ##.

From Aberdeen
Take the road to Dundee and from Dundee follow the A90 towards Perth. On approaching Perth continue over the Friarton Bridge across the River Tay and take the left hand slip road signposted Stirling and Glasgow. After a couple of miles, at the Broxden roundabout follow the instructions above as from ##.

From Inverness
Follow the A9 signposted to Perth until you reach the Inveralmond Roundabout where you turn right following signs to Glasgow. Take the first slip road to the left signposted A85 Crieff. At the mini roundabout turn right and follow the A85 until you reach the village of Methven. Follow the instructions above as from **.
