Inspection Reports

Glenalmond College, in common with all independent and state schools in the UK, is inspected on a regular basis by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education (HMIE).

The results of these school inspections are detailed in inspections reports for each school, which are available for parents and members of the public to read. These inspection reports provide an independent assessment of each school across a number of areas.

Glenalmond was last inspected in October 2009 and the report was published in November 2009. Our pupils made a huge impression on the inspectors with the prefects singled out for particular praise, whilst one inspector told us that one of her team had just witnessed one of the best five lessons of his inspecting career.

Overall Glenalmond was judged to be a very good school with the highest possible grade awarded for 'improvements in performance.'

A copy of the report is available at the HMIe website or can be downloaded from here HMIe Report November 2009
