There were smiles all round as former Scotland international and British Lion Rob (Skrine's 1978-83) put the lower forms through their paces and taught them new skills. Rob was invited along after Craigclowan pupil Frankie Hay's dad Stephen won a coaching session with him at an auction.

Accompanying Rob was the Glenalmond 1st XV who hosted a joint coaching session for the senior part of Craigclowan rugby club. The Craigclowan boys were split in to five groups and worked their way around skills stations manned by the Glenalmond College team. The session also included a scrummaging clinic for the Craigclowan 1st XV pack.

Huw Thomas, coach, said : "It was a really enjoyable afternoon. We are really grateful to Mr Rathborne and Mr Simpson for allowing us to invade Craigclowan and hope that their boys benefited. It is always good to see Rob and his presence really added to the occasion."
