One of Glenalmond's many attributes is its ability to provide pupils with more than just an academic experience.

There is so much more to be gained from "education" than just exam results and as many OGs will testify it is the extra-curricular life outside Glenalmond's classrooms that prove to be so valuable, memorable and enriching. We need to nurture many skills in our young adults: motivation, perseverance, adaptability and the ability to communicate are all required in a successful life. Some abilities cannot be taught but are learned through experience or by watching the example of others. Life at school, however, is not solely about acquiring a range of abilities: it is also (unashamedly) centred on fun, being excited by challenges and having the confidence to respond.
