Swimming is considered to be an important life skill and therefore holds a regular and dominant position in the PE curriculum.

Aquatic activities are available on the daily games programme, with specific training for team swimmers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the first two terms.

Glenalmond participates in the Midlands and Tayside Championships and the Scottish Schools' Relay Championships: the College aims to host three fixtures in both the Michaelmas and Lent Terms.

The boys and girls swam against Dollar on Tuesday January 27th and although they lost narrowly by 178-141 points, Stuart Bailey (captain) beat the O-15 boys 100m freestyle school record in a time of 60.2s.

This achievement then spurred the boy's O-15 relay team to beat the O-15 boys 50m freestyle relay school record in a time of 1.51.98s.

The team consisted of Stuart Bailey, Fraser Bodie, Mac Sinclair and Nick Cox.
