| The senior boys teams struggled in the wet weather against a clinical Merchiston team. Many of the Glenalmond team were overwhelmed by the experience and quality on show from the Merchiston team and struggled to get into the rallies. This was difficult for the teams to take, but they were encouraged by the performance of Spith and Bertsch who won two of their three matches for the 2nd VI. | |||||||

| The season started well for the senior boys with a comprehensive win over Fettes. This was an inexperienced senior side with many juniors involved, some of whom were unbeaten. A special mention must go to our first pairing of Wilhem Straengh and Craig Meikle, who lost only five games in their three sets and the 2ndVI pairing of Archie Farquharson and Charlie Sandison, who lost only four games. With the 1st, 2nd and 3rd team all winning it was a very pleasing start to the season and something to build on for the rest of the term. |
