Galileo and Einstein visited the Physics Department over two days through the skill of Peter Casey, a teacher, actor, writer and director.

GalileoPeter Casey brought to life some of Galileo's trials and described how he made observations of the moon, Jupiter, Saturn and sunspots. This year, 2008, marks the 400th anniversary of the invention of the telescope and UNESCO have designated 2009 as International Year of Astronomy to celebrate Galileo's first observations of the planets in 1609.

The following day saw Peter Casey in the role of Albert Einstein recounting his childhood experience and fascination with science, particularly with regard to invisible forces and light.
