Pupils at Coll welcomed Ian Orrell, a recently retired Chemistry teacher from Manchester, on his epic walk from Land's End to John O'Groats.

He is walking to raise money for the charity Emmaus which is working towards establishing in Salford a home for formerly homeless people, where they can live and work together in a supportive community environment.

Ian spent the night before heading off for Dunkeld. His journey finishes on June 2nd.
