Glenalmond College entered a crew for the Loch Earn Boat Race on Sunday 26th April. This charity event, organised by Crieff Round Table, is now several years old. The Glenalmond team consisted of Emily Pearson, Andre Phillips and Ed Reynolds (all Lower Sixth) and Tim Pearson (Fourth Form) and they were up against thirteen other (adult) crews in rowing the eight miles from Lochearnhead to St Fillans.
Though this was not 'real' rowing in a racing shell, it was nonetheless a severe test of stamina and watermanship. The weather was generally good, and conditions calm, and the crew were very pleased to come away with seventh place, recording a time of 2 hours 2 minutes and 19 seconds. They were the fastest mixed crew, winning a prize of a meal at one of Crieff's top restaurants! A sizeable sum of money was also raised on behalf of the Tuesday Club in Crieff, a voluntary social club run for young adults with special needs |

In the Scottish Schools Equestrian Championships held at Gleneagles Equestrian Centre, Glenalmond came 6th in the team competition out of 12. They missed 5th place by one point. As a team, they came 4th in the dressage. For the first time in 5 years all the girls completed both the dressage and the show jumping events so all received a combined score (the best 3 combined scores count). This was a fantastic achievement.
Annabel Taylor did very well as an individual and gained the best result of the Glenalmond pupils by show jumping with no faults.
Glenalmond defeated Hillhead 4-1 in the boy's reserve cup match at the Scottish Hockey Union Cup Finals played at Peffermill on Sunday 19th April.
