Anthony Dent from Dundee, is amongst the top ten pupils according to Edexcel, the UK's largest awarding examination body.

Anthony sat the A Level Physics exam earlier this summer and the results, issued last month; show that out of 2311 candidates, Anthony achieved one of the highest overall marks.

Jerry Jarvis, Edexcel's Managing Director, said: "This is a tremendous achievement and testament to the hard work pupils put into preparing for their exams. We send our congratulations to Anthony."

Anthony is now working in Plymouth, as part of the 'Year in industry' scheme, before going to university to study aeronautical engineering.
