We promote a culture of academic excellence, stretching and challenging the more able, supporting and encouraging when it is needed most. Class sizes are small and the work ethic is strong. In the junior years study is intentionally broad with all pupils working towards the GCSE. In the Sixth Form the emphasis is on fulfilling, in-depth study following 'A'-level courses.
At Glenalmond boundaries are blurred between curricular and extra curricular activities.Chapel is central to the spiritual and moral life of the College, while options such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, learning a musical instrument or joining the Conservation group are integral to the Glenalmond experience.
