OG Ian Simpson (Matheson’s 1963-’66) has published his third crime novel, to much industry acclaim. Murder in Court Three (Troubador) is an exciting, contemporary romp set in Edinburgh’s tightly-knit legal circles. Suspicious policemen (and woman – the leading investigator is a sharp, no nonsense cookie who combines brilliant detective work while wrestling with stroppy colleagues and advanced pregnancy), duplicitous legal eagles and brilliant counterfeit criminals. Glenalmond also features but in a very positive light.
Glenalmond's musicians presented a programme showcasing the school's renowned choral and singing tradition; the Pipe Band and further outstanding instrumental soloists completed the line-up.
Congratulations go to the Glenalmond College Schools' Analyst Team who won the recent Scottish Round of the Royal Society of Chemistry competition at Heriot Watt University.
