Beth Whitaker makes her directing debut

OG Beth Whitaker (Home, 2009 - 15) made her directing debut last month.

Approached in 2015 after being spotted in Strathearn’s Got Talent, Beth was Director on the recent Annie Jr performance for the Comrie and District Drama Society which, after a lot of hard work and support from the team, produced a three night production of Annie at the White Church in Comrie performing to a packed audience on 11, 12 & 13 February 2016.  Beth said that " she found it quite a stressful process but it was incredibly exciting seeing everything come together and to be able to make a scene exactly how I wanted it, plus I loved working with everyone

During Beth's time at Glenalmond she was involved in a number of Drama Productions. She took on a directorial role in ‘All the Coll’s a stage’ and prepared the costumes for ‘Oliver!’. Beth also performed in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, ‘Oh what a lovely War!’ and of course ‘Les Miserables’.

Since leaving Glenalmond Beth has taken a year out during which she has been ghost writing and project managing a book whilst working as a sales assistant in Crieff. Currently applying for University Beth is also keen to attend Drama College for which she has two more auditions to go.

We wish her all the best for the future.
