Tayside and Fife Swim Championships

Last week saw two days of intense competition at the Tayside and Fife Swimming Championships, an annual event that sees swimmers of all ages from across the district, convene on the Olympia Pool in Dundee.

The Olympia pool in Dundee hosted two days of intense competition at the Tayside and Fife Swimming Championships. This annual event attracts swimmers of all ages from across the district to compete in their various age categories. The Monday saw the 15/16 age category compete with Glenalmond entering individual competitors T.Jeffers, T.Guennewigk, S.Izat, H.Edgley and a boys and girls relay team. On the Wednesday it was the turn of the 13/14 and Senior age categories with K.Rae, L.Welsh, L.Burg, M.Sanderson, P.Izat, J.Clark, F.Williamson, and T.Mackay-Champion being entered in to individual events and a senior girls relay team. A fantastic performance from the squad and many congratulations to the following medallists: 

T.Jeffers – 3rd place 100m Butterfly 
H.Edgley – 3rd place 200m Breaststroke and 2nd place 100m Breaststroke 
T.Mackay-Champion – 1st 200m Breaststroke and 100m Breaststroke 
M.Sanderson – 3rd place 200m Freestyle 
L.Burg – 2nd place 200m Individual Medley and 3rd place 100m Freestyle 
Poppy Izat – 1st place 100m Backstroke 
J.Clark – 2nd place 100m Breaststroke 
K.Rae – 2nd place 100m Butterfly 
F.Williamson – 2nd place 100m Freestyle
