U14 XV tackling success

The U14’s have won an impressive six from eight matches this season including victories against Fettes, Loretto, Robert Gordon’s and on Saturday 3 December a superb 47-19 away win at Dollar Academy. Terrific team spirit and some fine performances.

Glenalmond U18 1st XV Rugby Team

The Glenalmond U18 1st XV rugby team yesterday won their semi-final match in the Scottish Schools Shield competition away at Kelvinside Academy, in a solid 0-24 win.

Kaleem plays for U19 Scotland Rugby Development Squad

Gleanalmond's Kaleem B played in for the SRU U19 Development Squad at Meggetland on 23 November. A minibus with teachers and pupils drove down to Murrayfield to watch and support Kaleem in his first match for the SRU. The Scotland team played well and gave their opponents Georgia a challenging battle.

Supernova 5km Run

Glenalmond pupil wins race among the moonbeams Upper Sixth pupil, Michael L was the overall winner - beating off competition from 2749 runners - of the unique, twilight ‘Supernova’ 5km race around the Kelpies of Falkirk on Sunday 14 November. Kelpies - mythical creatures who (allegedly!) appear at twilight -provide the backdrop for the race. Runners travel around the two 30 metre high, 300 tonnne sculptures, designed by Andrew Scott, wearing bright fluorescent colours and head torches.

Charlie A wins at Cyclocross 2016

Charlie A continues his winning streak! After a training session with the Scottish Juniors at Peebles, he went on to win the third round of the Scottish Cyclocross series, held at Strathclyde Park.

Hairy Coo mountain biking win for Charlie A

Glenalmond pupil Charlie A has once again hit the headlines, after winning the Comrie Croft Hairy Coo mountain biking event which took place as part of the Crieff and Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst Walking Festival.
