To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Glenalmond College Golf Course a new annual Competition open to junior clubs in the area has been established and the first winners of the James Braid trophy were Auchterarder Golf  Club.

‘The best three scores from the 4 team members was aggregated and the winners were Auchterarder Golf Club who finished 2 strokes ahead of Muthill Golf Club.   The best individual score was returned by David Morrison of Dunning Golf Club,’ said Dr Joe Stewart, Master in Charge of Golf. ‘At Glenalmond we are very fortunate to have such an outstanding and versatile course, and we are pleased to mark the anniversary of the course with this competition which we hope will encourage young golfers’.

James Braid, a former Open Champion, designed the nine hole course with 2 different tees on each hole allowing 18 holes to be played.
