18 Challenges in 47 Hours
This year we are hosting the inaugural Glenalmond 1847. Schools will be invited to send teams of five 10-12 years olds to compete in the event. We would be happy to take multiple teams and indeed could take additional numbers and make composite teams if required. Teams can be single or mixed sexes and made up of multiple year groups.
The Glenalmond 1847 is simply; 18 challenges in 47 hours all located on our stunning 300 acre campus on the
edge of the Highlands. The challenges will include clay pigeon shooting, rocket design, archery and golf. All activity is designed to stretch and challenge your pupils in both familiar and new activities. During the event, your teams will be mentored by a current Glenalmond College pupil who will prepare and guide them through the challenges. Glenalmond College have teamed up with Wildfox events to run this inspirational challenge for your pupils.
Teams will stay in a tented community on the lawn in front of the College and the event is fully catered by our team on site. Teachers will stay in college accomodation, with the tented camp supervised by Glenalmond staff. There will be 24 hour medical support on site and full risk assessments will be provided to your school prior to the event.
There is no cost to the participating teams and we hope that you are able to send a team of pupils to participate in the inaugural 1847 challenge. A link to the online note of interest form is attached alongside a flyer. A full information pack will be available following the Easter holidays, which will provide more details for Teachers and Parents.
We look forward to welcoming your school to Glenalmond College.
