Success for our Glenalmond Cross Country runners at the Glenalmond and Strathallan invitationals last week
The times are in for the competitors in the Annual Glen Girls Challenge Triathlon.
We name the sports team Captains for Michaelmas term 2017-2018
Congratulations to Glenalmond pupil Michael L who came an impressive second out of 155 runners in the recent Perth Park Run Challenge.
A Glenalmond pupil has achieved a very commendable place in the recent National Cross Country Championships. Susannah G-F finished in 19th place in the U17 Women’s Race on Saturday 25 February at a very muddy course in Callendar Park, Falkirk. Susannah runs with Gala Harriers and the girls achieved Team Bronze at the event. Richard Myers, teacher at Glenalmond and team coach said; “Delighted for Susannah, this is a great achievement. She trains very hard at all hours so this accolade is well deserved.”

Glenalmond pupil wins race among the moonbeams
Upper Sixth pupil, Michael L was the overall winner - beating off competition from 2749 runners - of the unique, twilight ‘Supernova’ 5km race around the Kelpies of Falkirk on Sunday 14 November.
Kelpies - mythical creatures who (allegedly!) appear at twilight -provide the backdrop for the race. Runners travel around the two 30 metre high, 300 tonnne sculptures, designed by Andrew Scott, wearing bright fluorescent colours and head torches.
Glenalmond hosted the annual Cross Country Invitational vs our local rival Strathallan.
Susannah G-F who competed for the East district in the Inter-District cross-country competition earning her a silver medal and her team to come second place.
Seven girls represented Glenalmond at the Scottish Schools’ Cross-Country Championships in Irvine.
At the Strathallan Invitational Cross-Country match last Thursday, the Glenalmond team represented the school very well.
In the cross-country challenge against Strathallan, the girls' race was dominated by Glenalmond girls, who who took all three top places.
Congratulations to Susannah GF who has been invited to run at Holyrood for the Inter District Cross-Country race this January.
Nine girls from Glenalmond raced at the Scottish Schools’ Road Race in Falkirk. The senior girls team - led home by Annie Porter and followed by Laura Godfrey-Faussett, Beth Stephen, Isla Graham and Marina Morgan – finished sixth in the team event.
