OGGS v Pupils at Luffness Golf Club

On Sunday 6th March, a bright, fresh day at Luffness golf Club in East Lothian, the OGGS and Glenalmond pupils battled out an honourable draw in the two four-ball matches.

There were some impressive moments from all four players, with long puts sank, miraculous bunker shot recoveries and some long driving, all making for some exciting match-play golf . The course was in prime condition for this time of year, slick greens and generous fairways with little high rough all made life easier for us. In both matches each side had a ‘dormie two’ winning position pegged back to a half by the 18th – how very gentlemanly.
A thoroughly enjoyable outing and one the boys will remember for some time. Our thanks to Harry Morgan and his team for entertaining the players from the school.
