Junior Play 2019

You are warmly invited to the Glenalmond College 2019 Junior Production, an irreverent take on Ibsen's classic but enigmatic 1867 play, 'Peer Gynt'.

With a cast of over 40 from our talented Second, Third and Fourth Form, and original live music by our award-winning student composers, we hope you'll be impressed by the standard of performance and stagecraft our young people can achieve.

Never mind the National Theatre's version which opens next month - we're getting in there first, and if the whispers from the Troll Kingdom are true, Glenalmond College is the place to see it.  Our musician-trolls will be weaving Scottish and Norwegian folk sounds from the clarsach (Scottish harp), fiddle, whistle, oboe and beautiful voices to create a spell-binding performance.  Add in some punky trolls, runaway maidens, kilts, antlers, comedy, bog-mist and the odd Norwegian poem, and this show promises to be unlike anything you've seen here before!
