As the academic year comes to a close, we honour our prize-winners and say goodbye to our leavers as they move on to the next stage in their lives.
The day started with Commemoration services in the Chapel, with an address to the Leavers by The Right Hon Lord Menzies, Chairman of Council. Pupils, parents and guests then made their way to the Gannochy Hall for the prize giving ceremony. Lord Menzies opened proceedings, followed by speeches by our Captains of College, Georgina F and Rory S, and the Warden Elaine Logan. The guest speaker, The Right Hon Lady Dorrian, Lord Justice Clerk, gave an insightful and thought-provoking speech which led into the prize-giving itself.
This event gives the school, the pupils, parents and staff, the opportunity to recognise those pupils who have been given academic awards, sporting and artistic prizes and a number of special prizes and awards for a range of activities across the school.
The day continued with a picnic lunch on the lawn and a number of exhibitions and displays around the school and ended with the customary pipe band performance in Front Quad - a rousing way to end a fabulous day.
