Girls UK Maths Olympiad

Three Glenalmond girls take on challenging competition

Introduced in 2011 by the UK Maths Trust, the UK Maths Olympiad for Girls is designed to help schools nurture the talents of enthusiastic young female mathematicians and also to prepare them for the British Mathematical Olympiad which takes place in December.  I

Three talented Glenalmond pupils, Shadiyar A (Goodacre's), Emmy S-K (Goodacre's), Ellie M (Goodacre's) and Jocelyn P (Home) all took part in the competition yesterday which consisted of a 2.5 hour paper with only 5 questions, each of which requires full written solutions.
We are sure the girls gave the competition their all and wish them the very best of luck when the results of the UKMOG are released in early November.
