Pupil featured on Scottish History Network

Lower Sixth pupil, Scarlett H, has had her extra-curricular history essay published on 'Scottish History Network'.

Wanting to expand her historical knowledge Lower Sixth pupil, Scarlett H (Lothian), sought out Mr Tolan for advice and he pointed her towards a number of websites including, The Scottish History Network.

Talking about her essay, Scarlett said "I decided to write a blog as it is something different to my everyday work and I hoped it would perhaps make me stand out in interview situations for University. However, I also wanted to further my understanding and knowledge of the witch-craze as it is something that really interests me and is completely unrelated to the A-Level course".

As far as we can see Scarlett is the only High School aged pupil who has had something published on the website, which is mostly used by University Masters and PhD students. She has even had PhD students re-posting it. This is an incredibly impressive achievement.

Congratulations, Scarlett!
