A 'Nice' place to practise French!
Nine pupils from the Fifth Form and Lower Sixth and two members of staff have just returned from a successful trip to a language school in Nice.
The pupils had lessons until the early afternoon then ventured out to buy their lunch each day from the local, very delicious boulangerie. Once fed, they enjoyed trips out to Antibes, where they visited the Picasso Museum, Old Nice - a beautiful part of Nice with buildings dating from the Middle Ages - and Monaco, where they saw at close hand the barriers being put up on the streets ready for the Grand Prix!
Everyone spoke a lot of French, both at the school, with our guide and with their home stays. All in all, it was an excellent trip and the Lower Sixth already want to book up for next year - Un Bon voyage!
