On Sunday 28 April, the entire Chapel Choir travelled to Edinburgh to perform as a part of the St Giles at Six concert series.
The cathedral was packed with parents, OGs, Friends of Glenalmond, regular Edinburgh concert-goers and tourists off the street. Chapel Choir revelled in the glorious acoustic, enjoying the opportunity to hear repertoire, which traditionally survives for well under a second in our Chapel, echoing for an eternity in the sublime surroundings.
Alexander W accompanied beautifully on the magnificent Rieger organ, also performing a solo, as did our three other departing Upper Sixth music scholars, Angus G (trombone), Conrad I (violin) and Ellie R (treble recorder).
All in all it was an evening of music to make Glenalmond proud, and our blue riband ensemble and senior musicians flew the flag with aplomb. Many congratulations to all involved!
