Glenalmond pupils are renowned for their courtesy. How will they fare with Glenalmond’s brand new workplace skills test?
We are justifiably proud of the fact that every visitor comments on how courteous and engaging our pupils are. At Glenalmond we want to do everything we can to ensure that doors stand open for our pupils once they leave us. Part of that mission is to ensure that no one leaves us without an excellent grasp of English and an understanding of how important soft skills are in the workplace.
So, this week our Lower Sixth will sit our First Impressions Count Assessment - a test which asks pupils to resolve delicate workplace dilemmas, answer common interview questions with confidence, accurately spell some of those words which catch us all out (advice, advise….) and complete a research skills module leading to either an EPQ or an academic presentation.
We will bring you the results of our pilot assessment, soon!
