During the Easter holidays, Tara H and her horse ‘Bumble’ (Gannon Oscar) managed to collect all of the double clears required for them to qualify for the 85cm Grand Prix at the Dodson and Horrell National Amateur Finals at Aintree in November.
Tara had to collect five double clears to ensure a place at Aintree, and she has! As well as achieving this standard, the pair also managed to get all of their double clears for the second rounds of the KBIS Insurance Novice class.
The second round will take place late in June, when Tara is hoping to get through to the final. Throughout the summer Tara and Bumble are hoping to compete at Hickstead, in Sussex, where the showground is holding classes for amateurs. Here they can gain experience in larger arenas and also at Arena UK.
Run by British Showjumping, the National Amateur Finals is a six day indoor competition attracting hundreds of entries from throughout the UK.
