Glenalmond College has recently appointed a Director of Development and an Alumni Relations Officer to form their new Development team

Nalini Cook has joined Glenalmond as Director of Development following a successful career in international schools research and development. In her most recent role at the International Schools Consultancy, Nalini was Head of Europe Research as well as Schools Investor Relations Manager advising schools, investors and developers on new international market developments.

Prior to this, Nalini lived in Dubai for 14 years where she was Head of Middle East and India Research at ISC. Nalini has lived and worked throughout the Middle East, India, Italy and Denmark and has a Master’s in Research and Consultancy from Lancaster University. After so many years overseas, Nalini is delighted to have settled in Stirling with her husband and is enjoying getting to know the whole Glenalmond community.

Amber Aitken brings a wealth of communications and events experience to the role of Alumni Relations Officer, acquired during two decades of training, management and internal PR roles in the financial services and tourism industries. Originally from Cambridgeshire, Amber has lived in Scotland for the last 15 years and resides in rural Perthshire with her family and two dogs.

Dr Michael Alderson, Warden of Glenalmond College, extended a warm welcome to Nalini and Amber.

“These appointments strengthen our team further and mean we are now well-positioned to take our engagement with our global community of former pupils to a new level.

“Glenalmond has a huge strength in its former pupils; ‘Old Glenalmonds’ consistently acknowledge the benefits of the education, and the lifelong friendships they forged here.

“In recent months, we have welcomed former pupils who have achieved success in many different ways - excelling academically, in sport, and in global adventures - and our pupils have been inspired by hearing from them.”
