Scottish Rugby’s Super6 league kicked off its new season last weekend with two former Glenalmond pupils selected in The Offside Line team of the week.
Kaleem (left) and George (right) both started in their respective Super6 matches.
Kaleem Barreto (Goodacre’s, 2011-17) of Boroughmuir Bears and George Breese (Reid’s, 2014-2019) of Stirling County were both named in the Round One team of the week.
“Kaleem Barreto’s excellent man-of-the-match performance which helped Boroughmuir Bears to success over Heriot’s on Friday night earns him the No 9 shirt,” The Offside Line reported.
“In the pack, 20-year-old George Breese had an impressive first appearance at Super6 level for Stirling County to gain selection at loose-head prop.”
For Round Two, Stirling County play Watsonians this evening with George Breese selected to make his second start for the club and Boroughmuir Bears play Ayrshire Bulls tomorrow evening with Kaleem Barreto selected as the starting scrum half.
Congratulations to both OGs from all at Glenalmond, and good luck with the rest of your season.
