The Friends of Glenalmond (FoG) Charity
Formed in the 1970s with the aim of broadening pupils' education by encouraging them to apply for grants to subsidise journeys, expeditions or adventures, FoG have provided travel awards each year to Glenalmond pupils to help fund a wide variety of projects, which may be connected with examination subjects or any other legitimate interest. The awards are granted on merit and encourage service to others.
Pupils submit a written application giving an outline of the intended project and a financial breakdown. This is followed by an interview with the Committee. It is a condition of the awards that the project actually takes place within an agreed time frame, and the recipients are required to give both a written and verbal report on their project to the Committee and/or the College on their return. Since 2019, the Friends of Glenalmond have extended their charitable purpose to include the funding of selected capital projects within the school. Donors can become Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum Friends of Glenalmond by pledging regular support. If you would like to support Friends of Glenalmond, please fill in the form below.
