Join the One-Night-Only Stream of Spamalot - Dec 10

The countdown is underway to our Main Show 2021...... Spamalot! Our Director of Theatre, Liz Moss, and our Drama and Music staff and pupils have been working hard behind the scenes with preparations and rehearsals are now full steam ahead. We can't wait! Our eagerly-awaited return to staging big, brash productions is a right medieval riot. Chosen equally for its silliness and its brilliant va-va-voom, this truly is the show to remind us to always look on the bright side of life.

Pupils' Success in Perthshire Art Competition

Congratulations to two Glenalmond pupils whose talent has been recognised in a Perthshire Art Competition. Kim P won the top prize in her age category and Johanna K was awarded the runner-up prize in her age category of the award run by the Rotary Club of Perth Kinnoull.

Charlie Sandison Inspires Young Athletes

A former pupil who was placed 24th in the mass start in the Virgin London Marathon last weekend - and produced his best personal time of 2 hours 25 minutes - returned to Glenalmond this week. Charlie Sandison (Skrine's, 2008-13), went for a run around the Glenalmond Golf Course with some of our pupils before addressing our pupils and staff as part of our Athelete Development Programme. Among his key messages during an inspirational talk to pupils was that it is the way you respond when you fail to meet your goals, as much as when you do, which shapes who you are.

Candlelit Service is Glenalmond Highlight

One of the highlights of the year at Glenalmond College is the Candlelit Service which is traditionally held at the end of term. It is incredibly hard to put into words what makes our end of term Candlelit Service so special. These photographs, taken at Chapel this evening, go some way to conveying the ethereal atmosphere which makes this service one of the standout events in our school calendar for pupils, parents and staff. Thanks to all involved - what a way to end our term.

Glenalmond Family Climb Everest

"What had started as a trip about a mountain ended up being more about a struggling nation, the people we met and enduring as a family, together."

Destination Scotland. Be a boarder north of the border.

It's all aboard for a Scottish boarding school. The Spring edition of the Boarding Schools' Association magazine has a feature on life as a boarder in Scotland and features Glenalmond being set in "300 acres of glorious rolling Perthshire countryside..."

OGs in Norway ski challenge for charity

Adam Dudgeon (Goodacre’s 04-09) and Gareth Davies (Patchell’s 04-09) skied in the brutal Birkebeiner cross country ski race (54km) in Norway last weekend, raising funds for the legendary ex-Scottish rugby player Doddie Weir and his charity, dedicated to researching the causes and investigating potential cures of Motor Neurone Disease.

Whole School Steeplechase

Amazing day to have virtually the whole school out together on the school golf course for the annual Glenlamond Steeplechase. The day showed that sport can bring everyone together, no matter how fast or slow you run, everyone was cheered the whole way round and through the finish line, whatever their position.
