Double Success in Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators

Glenalmond has enjoyed a double success in a prestigious competition run by The Queen’s College, Oxford University and this week our pupils were delighted to receive their award certificates. James SF (French) and Ellie A (Spanish) emerged as the top entries from Scotland in the Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators.

Glenalmond Pupils Express Themselves Brilliantly In Lockdown

As part of the #ExpressYourselfInLockdown initiative launched on social media by the British Council, we invited our linguists to create a video or audio file in which they had to perform in French or Spanish. Higher Language Results 2018

Glenalmond College has achieved an outstanding 100% pass rate at grade C and above for language Highers after re-introducing the SQA qualifications into the curriculum as an option for all pupils for the first time since the turn of the century.
