Glenalmond College extends a very warm invitation to you to join us on November 28th at 7.30pm for our Autumn Concert.
This year’s concert will be online as unfortunately, due to restrictions, it is not yet possible to welcome our parents and guests into school to join us for events.
We were incredibly impressed with all pupils who took part in our Online Commem 2021 on Saturday, including our extremely talented pipers, led by our Head of Pipes and Drums, Mr Brian Elrick.
Congratulations to Abigail S in Lower Sixth who has been awarded a distinction in her Associate of the Royal Schools of Music (ARSM) Singing exam.
To achieve this Diploma - well beyond Grade 8 - is a "superb achievement" according to our Director of Music, Dr Tim Ridley.
Abigail is the first Lower Sixth pupil to have achieved this at Glenalmond and now now has letters after her name and is even entitled to wear academic dress!
Well done Abigail!

We are delighted to invite you to join us for our Autumn Concert.
Well done to Niall D, one of our Fifth Form pupils, who has recorded this amazing song - his own composition - playing acoustic guitar, harmonica and bass guitar, while also singing.
A Glenalmond College minibus driver has this week stepped down from behind the wheel, after two decades of transporting pupils to and from the leading Perthshire independent school.
Willie Simpson, who is also a well-known local farmer and breeder of prize-winning Highland ponies, is retiring from his driving duties. However, he still intends to keep playing at events, including Glenalmond ceilidhs, with his renowned Scottish country dance band.
Glenalmond College has a fleet of liveried vehicles which provide a free transport service for families with children attending the school. The routes covered by Willie and his fellow drivers range from as far afield as Aberfeldy, Auchterarder, Rait, Bridge of Earn, Dunning and Crieff. New bus routes to meet local demand, including Burrelton and Glenfarg, are planned for next year.
One of the highlights of the year at Glenalmond College is the Candlelit Service which is traditionally held at the end of term.
It is incredibly hard to put into words what makes our end of term Candlelit Service so special.
These photographs, taken at Chapel this evening, go some way to conveying the ethereal atmosphere which makes this service one of the standout events in our school calendar for pupils, parents and staff.
Thanks to all involved - what a way to end our term.
On Sunday 28 April, the entire Chapel Choir travelled to Edinburgh to perform as a part of the St Giles at Six concert series.
Glenalmond's musicians took up residence in Perth for large parts of the past two weeks, competing in many different classes at the annual Perform in Perth music festival.
The entire College community travelled into Perth Concert Hall for the evening of Friday 1 March to enjoy the 2019 Music Department Gala Concert.
At the end of last term, Darcy M (6H) successfully completed her DipLCM Diploma in Music Theatre Performance.
Our pupils achieved hugely successful ABRSM music exam results recently, exceeding the UK national average.
Music Scholar receives offer to read Mathematics at Cambridge University.
Alex W, a Music Scholar at Glenalmond College and former pupil of Cargilfield Prep in Edinburgh, has just learnt that his submission to the University of Cambridge’s annual Corpus Christi College Essay Competition has been awarded first prize.

Glenalmond's Pipes and Drums, Concert Band, String Orchestra, the Glenalmond Cantores, Chapel Choir and Festival Orchestra, not to mention our Music Scholars...something for everyone and everyone very welcome...
