Top Tips for UCAS Personal Statements

Our Head of Sixth Form, Steve Smith, gives some excellent advice in this blog on how to draft a really strong personal statement. In four years as Head of Sixth Form he has proof-read over 300 personal statements, always the greatest hurdle when it comes to submitting UCAS applications in a timely fashion.


Strong Higher Performance by Glenalmond College Pupils

Glenalmond College has performed strongly in the 2019 Highers, with pupils achieving a 100% pass rate, grade C and above, in several subjects including English and History, according to the results published by Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) today.

Glenalmond College’s production of ‘The Sound of Music’ was far from the twee tale of a singing nun that we might have been expecting!


A Level Results 2018

Congratulations to all our pupils who have now received their A level results! The overall pass rate for Glenalmond pupils was 98.7% and we are very proud of all of our leavers as they now look towards their university careers.


Higher Language Results 2018

Glenalmond College has achieved an outstanding 100% pass rate at grade C and above for language Highers after re-introducing the SQA qualifications into the curriculum as an option for all pupils for the first time since the turn of the century.
