Glenalmond College’s annual Gala Concert, which took place on Sunday 23rd March, at St John’s Kirk in Perth, showcased the remarkable talents of our young musicians and the musical staff who support them.
The evening featured a diverse programme, including everything from a drum performance by Hugo M of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Sir Duke’ to a choral performance of ‘O Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem’ by the Chapel Choir. A particular highlight of the evening was the magnificent closing performance of ‘Highland Cathedral’, a rousing collaboration between the College Orchestra and Pipe Band. The stirring rendition filled the historic St John’s Kirk with a wall of sound, bringing the evening to a rousing finale.
Many congratulations to all the pupils and staff involved in delivering such a memorable and inspiring evening of music. For those who missed it, the event was recorded, so you can watch it below.
