In March, Glenalmond pupils successfully completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Qualifying Expedition in the stunning surroundings of Callander and Aberfoyle, at the gateway to the Trossachs.
Six groups undertook a variety of activities, including canoeing, walking, and cycling, navigating through diverse and often challenging terrain. The expedition tested their stamina, teamwork, and navigation skills, offering a rewarding and memorable experience.
A key part of the challenge was the overnight stay on the shores of Loch Venachar, where pupils demonstrated their ability to set up camp, cook outdoors, and support one another – all vital components of the DofE programme.
