Pupils at Glenalmond College are celebrating another year of strong GCSE and iGCSE results today, reflecting both their hard work and the support of their teachers.
This year’s results highlight continued progress, with an improvement in the top grades at iGCSE, and an encouraging rise in the number of GCSE Grade 9s compared to 2024.
Among the many individual successes, several pupils have achieved truly outstanding results. Dmitrii achieved an exceptional ten A*s, while Arran B celebrated with eight A*s, and Maya B achieved seven A*s and an A. Jemma B was awarded five A*s and two As, with Kilua Mc attaining five A*s and two As, and Abbie B gaining three A*s and two As.
Our aim is for all pupils to exceed their potential and to enjoy the value added to their experience by the supportive learning environment and breadth of opportunities the College provides.
The 2025 results also mark an exciting new chapter for the school. This summer saw the launch of a new partnership for the Glenalmond Schools Group ensuring further investment in the College’s future and in the experiences it offers its pupils. The strong performance of pupils this year reflects the renewed sense of energy and optimism at Glenalmond as it enters this promising phase.
Reflecting on the results, Lucy Elphinstone, Warden of Glenalmond College and Executive Principal of the Glenalmond Schools Group, said:
“We are proud of our pupils and their GCSE results this year. These achievements are the product of dedication, perseverance, and the willingness to aim high. Behind every success lies the story of a pupil who has worked hard, often alongside many commitments beyond the classroom, and today is a celebration of that effort. I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to every pupil who has achieved her or his own personal goals. I am equally grateful to our staff and parents, whose commitment and encouragement have been invaluable in supporting our young people on their journey.”
As the College looks ahead to the next academic year, our pupils have an excellent foundation for entering Sixth Form. With opportunities to progress to deeper intellectual study, broader interests and new leadership responsibilities, they can look forward to an innovative and challenging experience which will prepare them for the next stage of their learning journey.
The outcomes of 2025 underscore Glenalmond’s commitment to providing an education that combines high academic standards with an emphasis on developing the whole person. In an inspiring setting at the heart of Perthshire, pupils are encouraged not only to achieve strong results but also to grow in confidence, character, creativity and ambition.
